Position Summary:

Quaero is actively scaling our sales efforts and are expanding our sales function to drive our growth.The Technical Sales Engineer role is a new position in our sales organization focused on driving success throughout our sales lifecycle. This role will provide subject matter expertise in four key areas:

  • Marketing data environments
  • Marketing technology architectures
  • Marketing development and omni-channel campaign operations
  • Marketing analytics & reporting architectures

The primary objective of this role is to secure prospect confidence in the capabilities of the Quaero CDP platform and our ability to support the client’s full range of technical criteria. They will do this by having expertise in the following areas:

  • Operation of Quaero CDP to build and deploy data and analytics assets
  • Environment and technical architecture requirements for successful CDP deployment (cloud environments, data source provision, data security/governance, marketing technology integrations)
  • Data integration approaches by types of data sources
  • Quaero CDP configuration options (e.g. user access, data updates, transfer configurations, data science tool integration, ID resolution integration)
  • General expertise within and around Quaero CDP, including our partner eco-system

The Technical Sales Engineer will work with our sales executive to drive the following sales phases:

  • Qualifying:  assess client data and architectures for match to Quaero CDP
  • Opportunity Development:  build client confidence in Quaero CDP capabilities
    • Execute demos
    • Address first level requirements from client technologists (e.g. IT / Data / Privacy / BI / Data Scientists /Analysts)
  • Evaluation: Work with technology and data decision makers to align Quaero CDP with selection criteria
    • Define fit to requirements and/or define any key gaps with resolution options
    • Prioritize data sources to fit Quero CDP & client use cases / value / ROI
    • Develop support materials (as needed) to secure favorable assessment.
  • Negotiation: Work with Quaero Product to vet any gap closing commitments in contracting process

The Sales Engineer will work virtually and in-person enabling our team-based sales cycle. They will play key roles in sales meetings, discovery workshops, and marketing events.  Collegiality, a proactive attitude, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment are essential. Discretion and a high-level of confidentiality are required in this role.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Quaero CDP technical presentations to prospects
  • Demonstrate Quaero CDP capabilities
  • Validate prospect technical environment and requirements
  • Recommend deployment and configuration solutions (infrastructure, security, date architecture, data integrations, marketing technology integrations, reporting integrations, data science integrations)
  • Provide sizing and scaling estimates
  • Secure buying support from prospect technical roles
  • Provide technical expertise to proposal / RFI / RFP responses
  • Support sales efforts to and with Quaero strategic partners
  • Represent Quaero technical capabilities in marketing events and presentations

Experience:

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Technical sales experience with full sales lifecycle
  • Strong technical sales presentation skills
  • Strong technical writing skills
  • Marketing technology experience
  • Data architecture and data integration experience
  • Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on-prem infrastructure experience
  • Enterprise security configuration experience (data and user access)
  • Data science tools and platform experience
  • Experience with customer data platforms a plus

Education:

  • Bachelors Degree in Business or Computer related concentration
